The God of What Remains
God is not only the God of what we have and what we’ve lost—He is the God of what remains. Even in loss, our purpose is not lost. God continues to work through what is left.
1. God Works Through Loss and Gain
- God uses both what we gain and what we lose to fulfill His purposes.
- Loss does not cancel our calling—it often refines it.
2. Faith Must Endure Through Loss
- We will experience loss as we live, but God sustains us.
- The greatest loss is not material or relational—it is being without God.
- Difficult circumstances should not weaken our faith in Christ.
3. God’s Protection Still Remains
- Like Job, even when protection seems removed, God still has a purpose and a plan.
- God provides unseen protection and support, even in suffering.
4. What Remains Defeats the Enemy
- The enemy’s goal is destruction, but what remains in us—our faith, purpose, and trust in God—frustrates his plans.
- Our response to loss matters more than the loss itself.
5. Pain Prepares Us to Help Others
- God uses our hardships to equip us to minister to others later.
- Our trials become testimonies.
6. The Battle Is in the Mind
- Faith is often won or lost internally.
- We must intentionally hold onto faith and trust God with what remains.
7. Obedience in Uncertainty
- Sometimes all we can do is obey and trust God with the next steps.
- God meets us in our obedience, even when we don’t understand the outcome.
Conclusion
- God is always working—especially in what remains after loss.
- Stay rooted in God’s Word.
- Do not lose faith or hope.
- Trust that God will use what remains for His glory and your purpose.
