Our Story
How it all started...
In March of 2012, Pastor Dave and his wife Beth moved their family from Macon, Georgia back home to Galax because they felt God was calling them to start a Church in their hometown. After much prayer, they moved and started Christ Chapel Galax with a couple dozen people who weren’t plugged into a local church.
Where we are now...
In January of 2016 our Church moved to our new home. We purchased the former “Up to Par” sports facility and renovated the existing building to move our weekly services there. We offer multiple services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings to accommodate our members and guests.
God continues to bless our church and add to our numbers, however, our focus has never been on how many people we can pack in a building, but on how many lives are being changed. That has always been the goal, and will always be our focus.
Where we're headed...
We're all a work in progress. And so is our church.
As of September 1, 2024 we will be worshiping in 4 services. After a couple of years in our new space, we have already reached max capacity. We are continuously brainstorming and figuring out new ways to maximize parking & space in the building. Don't worry, everything you need to know will be announced in services.
