My Crazy Jacked Up Family week 3
A Christ-centered marriage begins with a man’s commitment to love his wife as Christ loves the Church — with sacrificial devotion, humility, and strength.
In Ephesians 5:25, we’re called to a powerful standard: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” This is not a passive love — it’s sacrificial, intentional, and deeply committed.
The Three Core Needs of Every Wife:
1) Security
— A woman thrives when she feels safe — emotionally, relationally, and financially. Husbands are called to work diligently and trust God’s provision, creating an atmosphere of trust and peace in the home.
2) Leadership
— Biblical leadership is not about control or domination but about Christlike initiation. A husband should lead with love, be the spiritual priest of the home, and guide his family with humility and purpose in conjunction with his wife.
3) Communication
— Open and honest communication is the lifeblood of any thriving relationship. Meaningful connection is built through intentional listening and heartfelt dialogue.
A Call to Mutual Love
When husbands and wives honor one another above themselves, their marriage becomes a living picture of Christ and the Church. It’s in the giving, the understanding, and the shared burdens that God’s love is made visible. Let’s pursue marriages that glorify God — where both husband and wife prefer one another, serve one another, and walk through life together in love and faith.
