Mind Games Week 4

Doubt is a normal part of the Christian journey and does not mean the absence of true faith. Importantly, doubt is not the same as unbelief.

There are three common misconceptions about having doubts:

1) That God will not answer prayers if we have doubts.

2) That doubts make us “low-class” or lesser Christians.

3) That doubts mean we cannot truly trust Jesus for salvation.

Instead, believers should face doubts with gratitude — by remembering and writing down God’s past blessings and faithfulness and compare them to today's doubts. Yesterday’s faith serves as strength for today’s doubts.

The key truth is that we don’t have to fix our faith before coming to Jesus. We bring our doubts to Him, and He helps us grow in faith. Transformation happens not because we first change ourselves, but because we come to Christ as we are, and allow Him to change us as we follow after Him.
