Truth In Troubled Times Week 1
God deeply cares for us and desires to guide our lives with purpose and direction. The question is not whether God leads—but how we recognize His will.
One of the primary ways God leads us is through community. He calls us to be actively involved in a local church, serving others and growing alongside fellow believers. Christian community is essential for both discerning God’s will and living out our faith.
God also places us in specific environments—our workplaces, neighborhoods, and relationships—so that we can be salt and light, reflecting His truth and love to those around us.
To follow God’s direction, we can take four practical steps:
1) Read the Bible daily to understand God’s truth
2) Listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit
3) Act according to God’s wisdom
4) Seek and listen to wise, godly counsel
Importantly, God will never lead us in a way that contradicts His Word. His guidance is always consistent with Scripture.
Finally, God is not calling us to imitate others, but to faithfully serve where He has placed us. Each of us has a unique role in the body of Christ, and we are called to use our gifts to serve our own communities well.
