Truth in Troubled Times Week 3
True empowerment comes from the Holy Spirit, not from our own efforts. God desires a relationship with us rather than performance, and we shouldn’t compare our faith to others or fall into legalism. Acceptance with God isn’t earned through works but through being His children and allowing Him to work within us.
To grow spiritually, we must spend time with God in His Word, resist worldly influences, and rely on His strength rather than our own. Transformation and redemption come from God alone, and we are called to embrace our new life in Christ.
Spiritual growth—evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control)—takes time and requires abiding in God. Just as the Holy Spirit empowered the early disciples, He empowers believers today to live for Christ and be His witnesses.
Ultimately, our role is to be willing and available, allowing God to empower us to serve Him and share His message with others.
