Purpose Week 4

The heart of the Christian life is a willingness to say “yes” to God. In 1 Kings 3, Solomon demonstrated this attitude when he humbly asked God for wisdom and understanding so that he could fulfill God’s purpose for his life. Like Solomon, we must recognize our need for God’s guidance and be willing to seek His direction daily.

As believers, we are engaged in a spiritual battle every day. Scripture speaks of knowing how to “go out and come in,” reminding us that our walk with God requires both worship and faithful living. Coming in represents entering the presence of God through worship. When we come before Him, we are invited to lay down our burdens, worries, and struggles at His feet.

An encounter with God is never meant to leave us unchanged. When we enter His presence, He strengthens us, renews us, and transforms us. We should not leave in the same condition in which we arrived.

God’s desire is not for us to be like a stagnant pond that merely collects blessings for itself. Instead, He calls us to be like a flowing river. As we are filled with God’s love, wisdom, and power, those blessings should overflow into the lives of others. We are meant to be a witness to the world, allowing what God pours into us to flow through us and impact those around us.

The challenge of the message is simple: come into God’s presence, allow Him to transform you, and then go out as a river of His grace and purpose, continually saying “yes” to His calling on your life.
