Grace Week 7

Our part is to put our full trust in Christ for our salvation. Saying a few words does not mean we're saved. We have to make Jesus the Lord of our life, the Boss of our life, to show that we truly believe.

What does it mean to believe?

1. Repent - change the attitude of a rebellious heart and choose to come home.

2. Reconciled - if we truly believe in heart, we will want to obey His commands. If we sin willfully, want to sin, plan to sin, we are not saved. We need to want to obey Him in our heart to be saved.

3. Receive - freely receive the salvation that Christ offers without expecting to have to work to earn it or keep it.

We need to ask ourselves why we would throw away eternity with God for a few experiences in this world. Nothing in this life, no experiences, no goals, no achievements, are worth eternity with God. So, we should never hold onto the things of this world in place of God. The choice is ours. We can repent, be reconciled, and receive Christ's sacrifice for our sin, or we can choose to reject Him.
